We did it again!!! Weinstein Imaging participated in the landmark study ACRIN 6666 which demonstrated that ultrasound and MRI can detect additional breast cancer.
"The Ultrasound Practice Accreditation Council of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine is pleased to announce the the ultrasound practice of Weinstein Imaging Associates has been awarded accreditation from the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. Weinstein Imaging achieved this recognition by meeting rigorous voluntary guidelines set by the diagnostic ultrasound profession. All facets of the practice were assessed, including the training and qualifications of physicians and sonographers; ultrasound equipment maintenance; documentation, storage,and record-keeping practices; policies and procedures to protect patients and staff; quality assurance methods; and the thoroughness, technical quality and interpretation of the sonograms the practice performs."

iCAD is pleased to announce its first installation of the VolparaTM Automated Volumetric Breast Density software at Weinstein Imaging Associates in Pittsburgh, PA. As awareness grows for the reporting of patient's breast density in the USA along with all of the various legislative efforts, we feel having this as an available option to our digital CAD systems is essential. Automated breast density assessment takes the subjectivity out of the process and standardizes the method. It helps the clinic, the clinician, and ultimately the patient better understand what their true breast density is. We feel that this is the first step in creating personalized medicine to facilitate better patient care.
